The Dangers Of Crystal Elixirs; And What To Do Instead

There is no doubt about it; there are lots of benefits of using crystals, minerals and gemstones. They are excellent tools for personal empowerment and a host of energetic reasons. Using crystals is based on the idea that they vibrate at different rates and can have a positive effect on you. In additional, psychologically speaking, wearing or using crystals helps you to keep your focus on the attributes the crystals represent.

So it’s no surprise that many new age shops and crystal enthusiasts took things to a whole other level, which is to “infuse” water with the crystal energy and drink it. Sounds great doesn’t it? Well in theory its great but in practicality not so much. Many crystals have toxic components to it making them completely unsafe for ingestion. For example, many commonly used crystals such as amazonite, malachite, azurite and others contain toxic elements such as lead, copper, aluminum, arsenic, mercury and even asbestos. Other crystals such as halite or selenite aren’t toxic but will completely break down in water. So I recommend, for your own safety to NEVER use gemstone elixirs.

Instead carry your crystals in your pocket (lots of ladies prefer right in their bra). Gemstone jewellery is also a discrete way to empower yourself. But if you really love the idea of an elixir, the best way to safely do that is to write the words you want on a paper and tape it to the outside your water bottle. You could even do the same with a picture of your favourite crystal. This way you get same positive psychological effects when you drink your water without the danger of toxicity.
