Fake Fortune Tellers Tips

Having a psychic reading from a reputable Spiritual Advisor can be an enlightening and comforting experience. But the polar opposite is also true; a psychic scammer can leave you feeling frightened, out of control, and financially destroyed. Here are some basic tips designed to help you make good choices and what to do if you have been a victim of a scam artist.

  • Beware Of The Fake Curse: One of the most scams that occur is that the con-artist will tell you that you have been cursed, and that is the real reason for everything bad that has happened, or that will happen to you. Of course, for large amounts of money; they will gladly remove the curse for you. It may start small and then continually build. This scam often hits people when they are at their lowest and most vulnerable, so they don’t see it coming.

  • You Are Responsible For Your Own Life: When the psychic is promising to solve all of your problems in 24 hours; this is a significant tip that they are probably a scammer. A good Spiritual Advisor will not tell you what to do, instead they will share insight for you to consider when making your choices and they understand that ultimately you are responsible for your own life and your own choices.

  • Avoid The Allure Of An Expensive Quick Fix: Oftentimes, a con artist will promote the use of a variety types of spells to solve all your problems, for a hefty fee. This is the most common type of scam. We live in a quick-fix society, however, the truth is life is often hard and making change takes time and effort. Trust in your own abilities to make good choices and seek help from quality people instead of putting money and faith into a scammer to solve your problems for you.

  • Stick to your budget: When it comes to readings you’ll find some cheap and some expensive and everything in the middle. Price is not really any reflection of the quality of the service. However, that ultimately doesn’t matter anyway. What matters is that you don’t spend more than you can afford to spend. Especially don’t go into debt for a reading and be mindful of how much you pay for in “extras” that they tag onto the session.

If you have been scammed…start with writing down as much of the specific details as possible. Our minds can become forgetful, especially under stress, so make it a point of writing down the date and time of the appointment, who you saw, their name, address, phone, the details of the scam, and how much money you paid. Then report this to the fraud department of the police department of the city where the scam occurred. Police take these matters very seriously, and fake psychics are charged and convicted for their crimes. Last tip: Remember to keep whatever a psychic says to you in perspective. This is your life; you are the boss.
